Dr. Amarnath Paswan
Assistant Professor-cum-Assistant Director in Centre for Study of Social Exclusion and Inclusive Policy, Faculty of Social Sciences, Banaras Hindu University.
Amarnath Paswan is Assistant Professor and Assistant Director at the Centre for Study of Social Exclusion and Inclusive Policy, Banaras Hindu University. He has earned his qualifications in B.A. (Hons), M.A. Political Science,M.A. Sociology, Ph.D. in Political Science and has cleared UGC NET/JRF in Political Science, Public Administration, Human Rights & Duties and Sociology. Presently he is working as an executive editor of Indian Journal of Dalit and Tribal Studies. Besides this, he also holds the post of executive and advisory committee member in various jounals and magazines like- Navjyoti, Bodhisatva Mission and Journal of Budha Sanket. Prior to joining BHU, he has served as Assistant Professor, (Department of Political Science) in Mahatma Gandhi Kashi Vidyapeeth for five years. He has served as NSS Programme Officer and has won the award of best NSS Officer. He has contributed more than forty papers in various international/ national research journals and edited books. He has delivered lectures and chaired academic session on several occasions. Dr. Amarnath Paswan has a privilege of organising more than 10 International, National Seminars, Workshops and Symposium funded by Ministry of Home Affairs (Govt. of India), ICSSR and UGC. As a researcher of social science he has participated in 12 International, National orientation and refresher courses and workshops sponsored by UNESCO, UNICEF, ICSSR, UGC and various government bodies. Dr. Amarnath Paswan writes regular column in various magazines and participates in T.V. And Radio discussions. His areas of academic interest include Caste/Dalit Studies, Indian Government and Politics. He is also a member of several academic and administration bodies such as Indian Political Science Association, Uttar Pradesh Political Science Association and Human Empowerment and Research Society. Dr. Amarnath Paswan is among one of the most active teacher cum mentor of his centre with the supervision of nearly 32 M.phil. And Ph.D. Researchers. Dr. Amarnath Paswan has also a lot of citations and awards – Rex Karmaveer Global Fellow& Karamveer Chakra Award(Silver),by International Confederation of NGOs(ICONGO),UNO,Diversity Man of the Year,by Bahujan Diversity Mission,New Delhi, 2019.,Neelkanth Samman (Award) as Democracy Defender/Prajatantra Prahari,by Kabir ke log,New Delhi, Rex Karmaveer Global Fellow Award, by International Confederation of NGOs(ICONGO), UNO,, Siksha Ratna award by Yadunandan Sewa Sansthan, Kanpur, Best NSS Programme Officer award by Coordinator, NSS, Banaras Hindu University, Bhim Ratna award by Ambedkar Chetana Parishad, Jharkhand, Rajeev Gandhi National Fellowship award for his doctoral research by UGC, New Delhi. Dr. B. Ram, Associate Professor in Department Of Dravyaguna, IMS BHU, born on 13th March 1974 in middle class family at Chaura village, Ghazipur District Uttar Pradesh, after school education he did B.Sc. from Purvanchal University, Jaunpur (1993), BAMS from Sampurnanand Sanskrit University, Varanasi (2000), MD (Ay) from C.S.J.M. University Kanpur (2005) and PhD from Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi (2015).
He started his carrier as Senior Resident in 2006 at Department of Dravyaguna, faculty of Ayurveda, IMS, BHU, Varanasi, then Medical officer (2009) in U.P. Govt. Health Services and lecturer (2009) in Govt. Ayurvedic college and Hospital S.S. University, Varanasi and then appointed as Assistant Professor (2010) in Dept. of Dravyaguna, Faculty of Ayurveda, IMS BHU Varanasi and again appointed as Associate Professor (2015) in Department of Dravyaguna, Faculty of Ayurveda, IMS, BHU Varanasi.
During his service he worked as programme officer NSS BHU, Admin Warden Nagarjun Doctor Hostel, IMS BHU and student adviser in Faculty of Ayurveda IMS BHU. He has received Bhim Ratna Award, Ritambhara Award and Best Programme Officer Award of NSS BHU Varanasi. He also received young scientist award by Mahima Research Foundation in 2019. He is also the member of Mahamana Malviya Foundation Mahamanapuri BHU, Varanasi, National Indian Medical Association, Varanasi, Indian Journal of Dalit and Tribal Studies, Varanasi, Vishwa Ayurveda Parishad Lucknow, Human Empowerment and Research Society, Varanasi, All India Specialist (PG) Association, Varanasi. Dr. Ram has also President of Human Empowerment Society and Chief Editor of Indian Journal of Dalit and Tribal.
During this period he has participated/organized various National/ International seminars and symposium and also delivered many lectures, radio/television talk. He has also published more than 63 articles/ research papers in National and International journals.

Mala Meshram is a social activist, writer, editor and managing director of the Bahishkrit Bharat News Portal. She has earned her post-graduation degree in social work from Guru Ghasidas University, Bilaspur (Chhattisgarh), and has qualified the National Eligibility Test of UGC with the same subject. Ms. Meshram has worked in many important projects so far in her professional career of 18 years. Some of which are as follows –
- Technical Assistant in a major research project of the Indian Council of Social Science Research, New Delhi (2019-2020).
- Block Programme Coordinator at (CSR VIPL) Vidharva Power Ltd. Nagpur through SARD New Delhi (2012 to 2014)
- Field Investigator in RCH Project DLHS-3 with Taleem Research Foundation, Ahmedabad Gujarat (2007– 2008).
- Coordinator with Vasudha Mahila Manch, Bilaspur in Integrated Rural Health Project sponsored by Danish International Development Agency (2002 to 2005).
Apart from these projects, Mala Meshram has also participated in the training seasons, special camps and workshops of Chhattisgarh Industrial and Technical Consultancy Center, Small Industries Service Institute (Ministry of Small Industries, Government of India), Bharat Aluminum Company Limited, NSS, and RSVY. As a seasoned writer Mrs. Meshram regularly writes for magazines, journals, and news portal; and has edited three books. In the last five years, she has participated in more than a dozen international and national seminars, symposiums and webinars and has presented her paper on various contemporary issues.
